In collaboration with the International Association of Cycling Journalists (AIJC), the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) organises a series of courses throughout the season for those wishing to obtain the UCI Driver’s Certificate.
As communicated by the UCI on February 22nd, members of the press driving a vehicle during UCI WorldTour events must, in addition to holding a “Licence for a vehicle driver in a road event,” also be in possession of a “Driver’s certificate delivered by the UCI.”
To meet demand, the UCI has decided to organise an additional course, at 10.30am on Friday July 1st, the day before the Tour de France.
Two other courses, already scheduled, will take place in the coming months: at 2pm on Saturday June 4th before the Critérium du Dauphiné, and at 11am on Friday August 19th, before the Vuelta a España.
People wishing to register are asked to send an e-mail to email@example.com with the subject “Driver’s certificate.”
