AIJC would like to express its sincere thanks to Mike Price for his work over many years as the organisation’s UK and Ireland delegate. Mike’s writing career began in the 1960s covering events in the south west of the UK for the Western Morning News paper in Plymouth; he began covering the Tour in 1981, following the race 19 times in total for UK national papers such as the Daily Express and Independent. Mike also put in a long stint as the media chief on the Milk Race from 1979 to 1993, after which he went full time in Europe working for Reuters on the Classics, World’s, Olympic Games and the Giro and Vuelta, before retiring recently.
